Golden Hour in the Meadow
Harry and Nim are good friends of mine, and after many conversations about how much I'd love to photograph them, we finally made it happen. The location was one I had discovered while following an OS Maps route, a hidden meadow tucked between quiet villages, surrounded by rolling countryside.
As golden hour arrived, the entire landscape came to life. The fields were perfectly backlit by the setting sun, creating the dreamiest glow and the most beautiful light imaginable.
What I love most about this session is how authentic it feels. There was no pressure to perform, just genuine laughter, easy conversation and honestly a lot of fun. Those are always the moments I find myself drawn to documenting.
And yes, if you're wondering what they were laughing at in half of these photographs, it was probably me repeatedly saying, "Oh, that's so nice..." every few seconds while getting far too excited about the light. Harry and Nim, I still haven't recovered from the embarrassment.
Jokes aside, this session perfectly captures everything I love about couple photography - beautiful light, a stunning location, and genuine connection.
